Biography

Hello, I'm Erica, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California license #53960), and I have been providing my services to Davis and the surrounding communities since 2013.

My passion for psychotherapy arises from my own journey as a trauma survivor and my involvement with youth through Young Life International and as a youth pastor (PCUSA). I believe that deep healing requires creating a safe and supportive space with someone who walks alongside you. Exploring the intersectionality of psychology and spirituality is an area of particular interest to me, as I am dedicated to assisting individuals in their recovery from past trauma.

I hold a Master of Science degree in Counseling from CSU, Sacramento, and have received training at the White House Counseling Center (SJUSD). Additionally, I have actively pursued ongoing education in Attachment, Polyvagal Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR Therapy throughout the past decade.

I have a deep appreciation for personal growth and view each person as a unique opportunity for learning. Growing up in Coastal California and experiencing life in the Pacific Northwest has given me an understanding of how our environment shapes our development. Currently, I call the Sacramento valley home where I reside with my spouse, two children, and mischievous dog. My free time is often spent in nature, swimming, kayaking, singing, gardening, backpacking and with my favorite people.

"The critical issue is allowing yourself to know what you know.

That takes an enormous amount of courage"
