“Today is your day. Your mountain is waiting so get on your way.” ~ Dr. Seuss
My training is with teens, adults and families through work at White House Counseling Center located in Carmichael, CA. I earned my Masters of Science in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento and my undergraduate degree in History from Seattle Pacific University. I gained my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2013 and have 20 years of experience working with children, teens and families who are struggling with mental health, behavioral or relationship problems. I enjoy working with young adults and the young at heart, individually or as couples as they work through life stages transitions and relationship challenges.
My prior work with teens and young adults was as a youth worker with Young Life and youth pastor (PCUSA). Through this work I became aware of the need for places of deep healing and understanding to be available for individuals, couples and families. Becoming a therapist has grown my clinical skills to match my heart for working with people in emotional and relational pain.
Personally, I am married and have two small children. I love being in nature swimming, kayaking, singing, backpacking and spending time with my favorite people. I am active in a local church and in social justice issues locally and globally. I love to learn and see every person as someone from whom I can learn.
